Aquarius Water Base Fluorescent Red Mixing Pigment Concentrate is a highly concentrated colorant engineered for use with Zodiac™ Aquarius™ water-based printing bases. The pigment provides a vivid fluorescent red color and gives screen printers the flexibility to formulate custom colors while maintaining the performance characteristics of the Aquarius water-based ink system.
This pigment concentrate is designed specifically as a mixing component and is not intended to be printed as a standalone ink. It can be incorporated into Aquarius printing bases to create finished water-based inks for textile screen printing. The universal pigment system is compatible with Aquarius Soft Base, High Solids Base, and Discharge Base systems.
Aquarius pigment concentrates are supported by the Aquarius Ink Management System (IMS), which provides formulas for matching Pantone® standard colors and approved brand colors. Using a digital scale when following IMS formulas helps maintain accurate pigment ratios and repeatable color from batch to batch.
The Fluorescent Red concentrate can be used for printing on cotton, blends, and synthetic fabrics when combined with the appropriate Aquarius base. Because fabric composition, garment color, and base selection can affect the finished result, production testing is recommended before beginning a full print run.

Aquarius Water Base Fluorescent Red Mixing Pigment Concentrate should be mixed into the appropriate Zodiac™ Aquarius™ printing base for the desired textile application. Compatible systems include Aquarius Soft Base, High Solids Base, and Discharge Base.
Fluorescent Red may also be combined with other compatible Aquarius pigment concentrates when developing custom fluorescent shades and production colors. Pigment loading and any additional modifiers should follow the recommendations for the specific Aquarius base being used.
- Stir the Fluorescent Red Pigment Concentrate thoroughly before use.
- Mix the pigment concentrate into the selected Aquarius base according to the required color formula.
- Use the Aquarius IMS formulation system for Pantone® and other repeatable custom color formulations.
- Use an accurate digital scale to weigh each base and pigment component.
- Add pigment carefully and mix thoroughly until completely and uniformly dispersed.

Aquarius Water Base Fluorescent Red Mixing Pigment Concentrate is not intended to be printed by itself. It must be combined with an appropriate Zodiac™ Aquarius™ printing base to create a finished water-based textile ink.
The selected Aquarius base determines the finished ink's opacity, hand feel, substrate compatibility, printing characteristics, pigment-loading limits, adhesion, durability, and overall performance.
Pigment loading varies according to the Aquarius base being used. Follow the applicable Aquarius Product Information Bulletin and IMS formulation rather than applying one universal pigment percentage across all base systems.
Under the referenced general application guidance, recommended mesh is 110–320 threads/in. with 18–35 N/cm mesh tension, approximately 1/16" (2 mm) off contact, and 15–20% emulsion over mesh. A water-resistant emulsion is recommended.
The referenced general guidance lists a cure of 90 seconds at 320°F (160°C) and indicates that flashing is not recommended. Final printing and curing requirements should be confirmed for the specific Aquarius base and complete ink formulation being used.
Because this is a fluorescent pigment, final color appearance can be affected significantly by garment color, substrate composition, underbase, ink-film thickness, mesh, opacity, pigment concentration, and curing conditions. Always test the complete formulation under actual production conditions before beginning a full print run.
