Characteristics
The Stahls' Hotronix® Tag Along™ HP Platen is a specialty heat press platen designed to help apparel decorators complete two popular print locations in a single pressing operation. Its patented double-duty design provides a 16" x 15" full-front print area along with a separate 3.25" x 3.25" tag print area, allowing operators to apply a full-front transfer and an inside-neck tagless label at the same time.
The platen's innovative neck and shoulder configuration helps garments load straight onto the press, simplifying alignment and promoting more consistent transfer placement from shirt to shirt. This can be especially valuable in production environments where repeatable positioning and efficient garment loading are important.
By combining the front graphic and tagless label into one heat application, the Tag Along™ HP Platen can reduce the handling and labor normally required to decorate these areas separately. It is an excellent accessory for shops producing custom-branded T-shirts, promotional apparel, retail garments, private-label clothing, and other decorated apparel requiring both front graphics and inside-neck branding.
The Tag Along™ HP Platen must be used with a threadable heat press. It is compatible with several 16" x 20" MAXX® and Hotronix® heat presses, including the Dual Air Fusion IQ®, Air Fusion IQ®, Table Top Air Fusion IQ®, Fusion IQ®, Hover Press™, Auto Open Clam, and MAXX® Clam.
A Quick Slip Pad Protector is included to help protect the lower platen while making garments easier to load and position during production.

Important: The heat press must be threadable. Compatibility can also depend on the press model and manufacturing year. Verify platen compatibility before ordering. Quick Change platens are intended for compatible presses manufactured after 2014.
- Thread the garment completely onto the platen rather than placing multiple garment layers over the pressing surface.
- Use the larger 16" x 15" area for the primary front graphic.
- Use the smaller 3.25" x 3.25" area for the inside-neck tagless transfer.
- Load each shirt straight using the platen's neck and shoulder profile as an alignment aid.
- Position both transfers before pressing when applying a front graphic and tagless label simultaneously.
- Follow the recommended time, temperature, pressure, and peel instructions for the specific heat transfer material being applied.
- Test application settings when working with unfamiliar fabrics, transfers, or heat-sensitive garments.
- Verify heat press compatibility before installation, particularly when using older heat press models.
- Inspect the included Quick Slip Pad Protector periodically and replace it when excessive wear begins to affect garment loading or platen protection.
